The coverage of boats and yachts is different from that of a car. There is no paint or varnish here. A special material is used - gelcoat. It is a hard and deeply colored polymer. If, when working with a car, we are limited to a layer of varnish and can only work on its thickness, then in the case of a gelcoat, the possibilities are wider. In addition to pastes, it is possible to use abrasive grinding discs. With their help, you can remove deeper scratches and dirt, get a "mirror" at the finish. This process is much more time consuming than with a car. The processing of one area is carried out from 2 to 8 times.
Directly for polishing, we use both pastes from the automotive program, and special pastes for gelcoat. Often in combination for best results.
We use the latest generation of eccentric polishing machines of the Italian brand Rupes and polishing pastes with polishing pads of the same brand. This makes it possible to guarantee the absence of traces of polishing, deep scratches on the surface of the gelcoat, which remain after rotary machines and fur discs.
After the completion of the polishing process, we recommend applying a protective coating that will maintain the effect of polishing for a period of six months to 4 years, protect the gel coat from UV radiation and give it ultrahydrophobic properties. In our work, we use the ultramodern coatings iShine and Ceramic Pro, to which we have exclusive rights in the territory of Montenegro.
